This page contains a selection of three prototypes developed for a rapid prototyping assessment focused on fast iteration, critique, and experimental design.
Each prototype was produced under time constraints, critiqued in scheduled sessions, and supported by design documentation and annotated video analysis. The emphasis of the module was on exploring mechanics, testing ideas, and iterating based on feedback rather than polish or production-level execution.
Prototype 3 — Boss Encounter
A combat-focused prototype exploring boss design, readable telegraphs, and pattern-driven attack cycles.
Prototype 4 — Asymmetric Co-Op Level
A level built around two players with different abilities, restrictions, and responsibilities working together to progress. The key focus was asymmetry: neither player can complete the level alone, requiring constant information sharing and coordinated action.
Prototype 5 — MMO Composition Map
A prototype examining how MMO map compositions fit together.
